OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Are you…..
- Searching for a deeper relationship with God?
- Interested in becoming Catholic?
- Unbaptized?
- A baptized Christian from a Protestant background?
- Baptized Catholic but never received your First Holy Communion or Confirmation?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, please consider the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). RCIA is a tradition dating back to the earliest Christians. This rite forms and prepares individuals to lead a full and active sacramental life with God and in communion with the Catholic Church.
The Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation) are celebrated during the Easter Vigil.
Classes are held Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. beginning in the Fall each year.

“OCIA” for Children
Christian Initiation is offered for children who have not been baptized before the age of 7 and wish to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church. The Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation are typically received at the Easter Vigil.
It is highly encouraged that the children attend Mass regularly before beginning preparation for the sacraments. In addition to weekly classes, these children will be required to attend additional formation sessions with their parents and special liturgical rites throughout the year leading up to their initiation.
Parents interested should register their child(ren) for Faith Formation classes. Registration for the 2025-2026 formation year will open in May 2025.
