Theology on Tap: The Eucharist and the Poor – Tom Eggleston

Thursday, April 18 at 7:00 PM in the former Hennessy’s Pub

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that participate in the Eucharist commits us to care for the poor. What does that mean? And how? This talk will explore Catholic Social Teaching in light of the sacrament of the Eucharist and look into how the two support each other.

Tom Eggleston has a Master of Divinity degree from Notre Dame, and has spent many years working in Catholic parishes, especially in ministry to the sick and homebound, the grieving, and to those in need of food or clothing through the St. Vincent de Paul center.
