Food Pantry Update

November Food Pantry Update:

In the month of November, our parish food pantry was able to help feed 75 families (127 adults, 62 children) for a total of 189 neighbors!  Also, because of your generous support, we were able to assemble 30 Thanksgiving baskets for families – thank you to all of you who gave and volunteered your time to help pack and distribute!

December Food Basket and Gift Initiative

We need help with this effort!

Please help us in the following ways:

  1. Food & Item donations: Toilet paper, paper towel, laundry soap, dish soap, canned soup, canned corn, green beans, canned fruit, peanut butter, mac & cheese, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and any other items you can think of!
  2. Money donations:  All financial donations toward this effort will go directly to food purchases for the baskets
  3. Volunteers:  Baskets will be arranged and packed Thursday, December 19th @ 5:00PM in Lourdes Hall.
  4. Volunteers: Hand out day for the baskets will be Saturday, December 21st from 9:00AM – 11:00AM.

On behalf of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, we are deeply grateful for your generous support of our food pantry. Since the Spring, your contributions have enabled us to make a significant impact on our community, and we are pleased to provide you with an update on our efforts and accomplishments.

Program Impact

Since April the pantry has provided vital food assistance to 546 families, including 690 adults and 415 children. With your help, we have been able to ensure these individuals and families have access to nourishing meals during challenging times.  The money and food donations you have given have helped us expand how much food goes to each family in need, and for that we are thankful!

Operational Highlights

  • Hours of Operation: Monday through Wednesday, 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
  • Volunteer Support: We are blessed with a team of 4-8 regular volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to ensure the pantry runs smoothly. We would still love more volunteers! Please consider sharing your time with our pantry – call the office if you’re interested.
  • Additional Support Services: Beyond food distribution, we assist clients by connecting them with other critical resources, including housing assistance, job training programs, and healthcare services.

Your support has truly been a lifeline, not only in providing food but also in fostering hope and dignity for the people we serve.

Looking Forward

We continue to evaluate and adapt our services to meet the growing needs of our community. In continued partnership with all of you, we hope to expand our reach and offer more comprehensive support to our neighbors in need.

Thank you once again for your commitment to our mission!
