This recording contains introductory and closing comments from Father Kyle, as well as a brief summary from each group about some of the main points discussed during the conversations at their tables. The questions discussed were:

  • Our Parish: Looking at the example of Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.”
        1. Teaching of the apostles – What do you need in order to know and live the truth and to be able to respond to challenges to Christian truth with a worldview formed by the Gospel?
        2. Fellowship – How can we better love one another as God loves us? How can we be more united as a community? How can we better be a community of disciples where all are loved and cared for, especially those most in need?
        3. Breaking of the bread – How can we better foster full, conscious, active participation in the Eucharist, the source and summit of our Christian life? What do you need in order to be more nourished by our celebration of the Eucharist from week to week?
        4. Prayer – Do you experience a life-giving, personal relationship with God? What do you need in order to deepen that relationship?
      • Our Mission: Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”
        1. What do we need in order to accomplish the mission God has for us in the world? What more might God want for our mission as a parish? What could that look like in terms of bringing people to a relationship with Jesus and making disciples?
